North Central Streetscapes

This project was designed to improve the multi-modal function of the existing roadway, making it friendly to pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and vehicles. Included in the project was the replacement of the deteriorating storm system, repairing and replacing sidewalks, installation of new curbs and gutters to separate roadways and parking, bus stops, bike lanes, asphalt paving, landscaping, street lighting, and traffic signals. Several lane shifts and traffic control devices were implemented to keep traffic flowing safely through the work zone, and temporary measures were used to allow pedestrian access to businesses.
