About the Mark B. Whitaker Water Treatment Plant

This project involved the construction of a 7,200 square foot generator building. This included the installation and testing of three 0.2 KV Caterpillar generators, medium voltage switchgear, and all associated equipment; construction of a new generator and electrical building to house the generators; and construction of fuel storage tanks. The generators installed on this project provide Mark B. Whitaker Water Treatment Plant with its third source of power, ensuring that the people of Knoxville will not go without quality water.
