About FUD Wastewater Treatment Plant

This project included extensive improvements across most plant processes. Improvements included retrofitting existing facilities and the construction of two new plant facilities. One facility was a concrete grit process tank and the other was metal on the CMU Dewatering Building. Improvements also included extensive process equipment upgrades. Equipment upgrades included new dewatering centrifuges, polymer feed pumps, screw conveyors, progressing cavity sludge pumps, open screw pumps, influent screens and presses, centrifugal grit pumps, a grit head cell, and a grit washer. Finally, plant improvements included extensive electrical and SCADA upgrades. These included new duct banks, motor control cabinets, automatic transfer switches, generator improvements, logical control panels, fiber optic improvements, and SCADA programming improvements.
